Now on to today’s content: I want to talk about one of astrology’s simplest and eeriest timing tools.
The degree of a planet in your birth chart corresponds to ages when that planet’s themes will come alive in a big way. Then add 30 such as below:
If your Mercury is at 18°, communication, contracts, and travel may become major themes at ages 18, 48, 78, and so on.
If your Moon is at 12°, home, family, and emotional milestones might happen at 12, 42, 72… you get the picture.
It’s as if each planet has its own calendar, with your birth chart holding all the dates in advance. The house and aspects can give further clues.
Astrology is all about cycles. When a planet in the sky (by transit, progression, or solar arc) returns to the same degree number it holds in your natal chart, it’s like striking a tuning fork. The resonance is strong enough to trigger events, even if the planet is in a different sign at the time.
It’s not that every age tied to your degrees will change your life, but these years tend to stand out when you look back.
Try it yourself
Pull up your birth chart and write down the degree of each planet and the four angles (Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven, IC).
Match each degree number to your age.
Look back at those ages in your life. What happened? Can you see the planet’s themes at play?
Then look ahead. Which ages are coming up? You might spot a theme before it even happens.
Note: This is not a replacement for deep predictive techniques and working with a professional astrologer, but it’s one of the fastest ways to spot potential turning points.
